Alva Cookware
Belgium
Alva is a family-run Belgian cookware house founded in 1949, when Albert Vandaele crafted his first aluminum pots and pans from repurposed post-war materials — and melted down any piece that failed his standards. The company introduced its first stainless steel collection in 1970 and rebuilt within three months of a devastating 1983 factory fire, a resilience that still defines the brand. Today, three generations on, Alva carries that heritage into ceramic nonstick, 5-ply stainless steel, carbon steel, and cast iron cookware made with an emphasis on responsible, resourceful production.
