Founded in 2015 in San Francisco's Castro neighborhood by Mat Pond and Holly McDell, The Epicurean Trader is a curated marketplace championing small-batch artisan producers and traditional craftsmanship. What began as a neighborhood specialty shop has grown to five San Francisco locations, with shelves hand-selected from hundreds of small-batch producers, family-owned farms, and master craftspeople around the globe. Its curators taste hundreds of products so only the best — from craft spirits and small-production wines to gourmet pantry staples — make the cut.
