Tamayo is a true expression of Chef Richard Sandoval's deep-rooted love for authentic Mexican cuisine, inspired by his abuela and shaped by his childhood in Mexico City. Opened in 2001 at the corner of 14th and Larimer Street, Tamayo brought modern Mexican cuisine to Denver, blending the earthy yet complex flavors of his native Mexico with global ingredients and innovative techniques. Alongside the food, guests can order hand-crafted margaritas and explore a curated selection of over 100 agave-based spirits. The two-story restaurant features a spacious dining room, outdoor patio, and a rooftop deck with Rocky Mountain views.
